Our Micronized Calcium Carbonate is a non-metallic mineral with a finely crystalline rhombohedral structure, over 98% pure. It is micronized at our Orosei plant using various grinding techniques, achieving particle sizes from 5 to 200 microns.
Calcium carbonate is suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to its eco-compatible properties and the absence of harmful substances.
Bio-building Construction
Use of micronized calcium carbonate in the preparation of high-quality premixed products for plasters, the manufacture of construction products and the production of lime.
Bitumen
Filler makes paving far more resistant to high temperatures and therefore less susceptible to fatigue cracking. It also helps slow oxidation, extending pavement life and improving flexibility.
Animal Feed Production
Our calcium carbonate is used as an additive in the production of feed and supplements for animal nutrition.
Organic Farming
The use of calcium carbonate, combined with suitable surfactants where needed, protects fruit trees, olive groves and vineyards from pests, fruit fly and excessive heat. It is also used to correct the pH of acidic soils.
Major Infrastructure Works
Finely ground limestone is used in concrete production. Thanks to its particle size, it works as an ultrafine aggregate that fills spaces between cement grains, making the cement matrix highly compact and resistant.

Flue Gas Desulfurization
The desulfurization system is one of several techniques used to reduce atmospheric sulfur oxide emissions generated by coal-fired power plants. It converts calcium carbonate into calcium sulfate to lower the sulfur content of combustion flue gases.
